Non-profits usually stay in business because of large grants
Non-profits typically have a grant writer on staff ($100 per grant)
Need to identify grants we are going to apply for prior to receiving non-profit status and submit grant proposals once we are “in process” status
Marketing
Carmen will be helping us with marketing (she’s very qualified)
Will make sure we are on track with guidelines and that we aren’t doing any false advertising
We will start utilizing ads on Facebook in the future
Create a quick survey to send to veterans and ask them what they want to see from a non-profit

We don’t need a website until we are ready to file as a business
Focus on social media for the time being (Carmen)
Look within your network to see if you know anyone who can help us create a website in the future
